The steel jacket for Statoil’s Mariner platform on the UK Continental Shelf has now been placed on the field, approximately 150 kilometres east of Shetland. The jacket is the largest ever built for a Statoil project. The successful launch marks an important milestone for Statoil as operator on the UKCS.
