The Taiwanese cargo ship S.S. Taipei ran aground off the coast of Taiwan recently broke apart and became stranded on a reef near Shihmen in New Taipei City, causing a massive oil slick.
The vessel split in two, and the broken hull is now leaking black oil into the blue-green waters near New Taipei City.
