APM Terminals Pipavav Sets A High Performance Standard In Ship Movements

APM Terminals Pipavav successfully handled seven ship movements in about five hours with well-coordinated efforts by various expert teams.

Shipping movement at the port is carried out through the coordinated efforts of the marine pilot, vessel masters and crew members, radio operators of the port control room, mooring gangs, harbour tugs, and a pilot boat.

In 2022 (May), APM Terminals Pipavav secured its position as the most efficient port in India in a Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) developed by S&P Global Market Intelligence and the World Bank collaboratively.

The port is ranked 26th globally in CPPI 2021 with a point of 109.823. APM Terminals Pipavav is a leading gateway port in India, used for Containers, Ro/Ro (better known as passenger cars), liquid bulk, and dry bulk cargoes that serve Northwest India from Gujarat. The port is connected to the West and North of India via the road and rail network. At present, the annual Cargo Handling Capacity reportedly involves about 1.35 million.
