Croatian shipping major Atlantska Plovidba mentioned Monday that the bulk carrier named Revelin was struck by another vessel and suffered damage while departing from the US Port Arthur.
After the accident, a thorough checkup and repairs will be required. This will cause a significant loss of usable time for the ship, the company said in a statement to the Zagreb bourse.
Nobody was injured in the accident, and there will be no damage to the environment owing to it, it further mentioned.
The damages to the vessel and the circumstances that led to the accident are now being inspected.
Shares of the Atlantska Plovidba reportedly traded 4.81% lower at about 416 kuna, which equals $55.4 or €55.4 on the Zagreb bourse intraday as on Monday.
