A container vessel named the BF TIGER collided with another coastal cargo vessel named XINGHANG in the waters off Zhejiang. Initial reports say one was killed in the crash early in the morning on 7 August. The vessel was sailing toward the south en route to Hong Kong from Qingdao. The 118-meter-long XH489 sank.
There were four individuals on it. Three were rescued, and one lost their lives in the collision. BF TIGER has reportedly stopped its voyage and was made to anchor off Ningbo. As of 9 Aug, she was in the same position.
