A general cargo vessel needed to be rescued after it got stuck in a river close to the Foul Anchor on February 25.
The vessel, sailing under St Kitts and Nevis’s flag, was constructed in 2001 in the Netherlands, set sail from Vlaardingen in the Netherlands on February 13, and has since made calls at Germany’s Kiel and Rostock and Riga, Latvia. She departed from Latvia in the early hours of February 20 and headed for Wisbech.
Baltic Express (formerly popular as Lady Nora) was reportedly pushed back to the Wisbech harbour by tugs, where she is currently anchored after the incident.
The ship, listed as a general cargo ship, measures 80m in length and 12m in width.
