Crew Member Had A Brush With Death When He Fell Overboard Trying To Secure The Gangway

A Filipino individual, a crew member, was rescued after he had gone overboard from Le Lyrial, a Ponant Expeditions cruise vessel, while it was mooring at the port of Ushuaia in Argentina.

The 59-year-old individual fell into the water on Friday, 10 February, while trying to secure the gangway as the vessel attempted to Moore, reported Crew-Center.com.

Experienced rescue swimmers from the fire station and prefectural rescue successfully recovered the crew member, whose identity wasn’t disclosed.

The man was injured and moved to a hospital, where he was kept under observation.
