Danish Maritime Authority Introduces Digital Certificates For Seafarers & Companies

The Danish Maritime Authority is launching digital certificates for seafarers as well as a number of other digital self-service solutions for shipping companies, staffing companies and educational institutions.

• • Seafarers: Manage your own career and access digital certificates, applications, qualifications as well as seagoing service.
  • Seafarers app: A new app for easier access to self-service and your digital certificates.
  • Manning: Shipping companies and manning agencies can now gain access to digital certificates shared by seafarers as well as application for recognition certificates through this self-service solution.
  • Education: Maritime educational institutions and course providers can report exams, courses, and certificates of proficiency.

For a transitional period, the Danish Maritime Authority will continue to print all certificates until we are sure that all authorities will accept digital certificates for seafarers.
