With freight earnings reaching an unprecedented Rs 1940.23 crore, an increase of 110% over last year’s Rs 923.61 crore, the Division expects to cross the Rs 2000 crore mark within 13 days in the fiscal year 2022-23.

Furthermore, 4575 rakes were handled, compared to 2449 rakes the previous year.

Shivendra Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager, praised Senior DCM V Rambabu, DCM G Somasekhar Naidu, Senior DOM D Narendra Varma, and the commercial team for their outstanding performance and thanked Krishnapatnam Port authorities for their cooperation.

He also attributed the exceptional freight loading growth to policy reforms and new initiatives implemented by business development units across the division.
