HSL Docks The Largest Vessel From Mumbai For Essential Repairs

The Hindustan Shipyard Limited, on Wednesday, reportedly touched a new record by docking a bulk carrier dubbed the MV Vishva Vijay that belongs to the Shipping Corporation of India Limited in Mumbai.

This is reportedly the 2014th vessel undergoing repair work at the HSL and is part of the Panamax class with about 80,312 DWT.

It is the most incredible vessel to be docked at the HSL in its entire history, right since the inception of the drydock back in 1971. The dimensions of the ship are 229 meters overall length.

It can be loaded with about 95,149 cubic meters of cargo. In the current fiscal year, the HSL reportedly delivered and repaired nine vessels, including three bulk carriers, per an official release published on Wednesday.
