HYON has reportedly signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Northern Xplorer AS to implement hydrogen fueling technology on Northern Xplorer’s energy-self-sufficient and zero-emission cruise vessel named the MM140.
Per HYON, the advanced hydrogen fueling technology is expecting a final investment decision to be made by Northern Xplorer and an order for the vessel to be placed with a shipyard.
Besides implementing fueling technology, the LOI also facilitates a strong collaboration between the two firms, in which HYON will contribute toward developing a fueling process for Northern Xplorer.
