Indian Navy Sailor Loses His Life On INS Brahmaputra During Operations While At Sea; Probe On

A 23-year-old personnel associated with the Indian Navy lost his life on sustaining grievous injuries on a frontline missile frigate in the middle of operations at sea, officials declared on Sunday.

The victim, Mohit, was a Hull Artificer 4. He was reportedly deployed on the guided missile frigate dubbed INS Brahmaputra. The accident happened on Saturday.

In an ill-fated accident on 8 April, while at sea, Mohit succumbed to serious injuries on INS Brahmaputra in the middle of operations at sea, a senior Navy official mentioned.

He said a board of inquiry had been ordered to examine the cause.

The Hull Artificer 4 is a rank equivalent to that of the Petty Officer.

The detail of the accident is not yet known.

Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of Navy Staff, and personnel of the Navy reportedly paid their tributes to Mohit.
