Malaysia Detains Ship Loaded With Diesel Without Necessary Documentation

Malaysian authorities have reportedly arrested a vessel close to the port of Kemaman transporting diesel without essential documentation.

The Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency reportedly arrested this unnamed tanker close to Kemaman on the morning of 4 February, the organization mentioned in a post on social media.

The vessel was loaded with about 10,000 litres of diesel. It was unsuccessful in submitting relevant documents that reflected the tanker’s authorization for storing, possessing, and handling controlled items.

The vessel had a four-member crew. The individuals were between the ages of 20 and 36 years.
