The MT Kristin was carrying 17 people when the incident occurred at 2:50 p.m. local time. Fortunately, no reports of an oil leak have been received; however, a 300-meter oil boom has been erected around the ship, and it is now being towed to a secure port.

The corporation also confirmed that there is enough fuel stock at terminals in both Lombok and Bali to ensure supplies are met. Furthermore, fuel from other areas is being relocated to these tourist hotspots.
