On January 13, a CMA CGM containership on its way to Hamburg from Antwerp ran aground. The incident happened in Dutch waters, in Kruiningen.
The ship in question was a 5000 TEU ship named CMA CGM Barracuda which ran aground around 1 am local time. The vessel was going downstream at that time.
Four hours later, the ship was escorted by a group of tugs downstream around 5 am local time and was later refloated after a few hours.

The reason for grounding hasn’t been found and is being investigated.
