Perdido is the world’s deepest offshore oil drilling and production platform. Moored in 2,450 meters (8,000 feet) of water in the Gulf of Mexico, it opened up a new frontier in deep-water oil and gas production.

Tobago, in ~2,925 meters (9,596 feet) of water, is the world’s deepest subsea completion. Following first oil, Perdido has a peak annual production of 100,000 barrels of oil per day and 200 million cubic feet of gas per day.
Perdido is one of the most challenging deep-water projects of Shell, leaders in deep-water exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico.
