A massive container ship collided with a breakwater at Japan’s Hakata port. As a result, the bow of the ship rode up and got stuck.

The collision took place when a 9,576-ton Panamanian ship named the Lady Rosemary set sail from Hakozaki Wharf toward Kobe.

The Japanese Coast Guard has reportedly said that 22 crew members were all safe and no injury was reported.

Patrol boats have constructed an oil fence that can hinder the spread of oil leaks from the freighter. A salvage enterprise that has been contracted by the shipowner is trying to remove the vessel.
